Nurse Practitioners

Paula Canterino, MSN, RN, APN-C

Paula has been practicing an an oncology nurse since 1987. She first worked as a staff nurse on the hematology/oncology floor at the Medical Center of Ocean County, Point Pleasant NJ. She obtained her A.D. in nursing from University of Pittsburgh in 1986. She then went on to complete her Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing and graduated from Seton Hall University in 1993. While working she obtained her Master of Science in nursing and graduated from Monmouth University in 2001.

Her past work experience includes clinical coordinator of oncology services at the Medical Center of Ocean County, 1989-1992. She worked as an outpatient chemotherapy nurse in the hepatobiliary/GI service at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center 1992-1995, and then as a clinical research nurse in the gastric/mixed tumor service. She has been working at Atlantic Hematology/Oncology since 1997.

She is certified as an NP and also holds her national certification in Advanced Oncology Nursing. She is a certified ACS instructor in clinical breast exam. Paula has been a member of the Oncology Nursing Society since 1989, and was past President of the Central NJ Chapter serving 1999-2001. She received the Kellogg Award for "Excellence in Nursing", and was a finalist for the NJ Governors Award for "Excellence in Nursing".

Paula has lectured frequently on the use of intrahepatic chemotherapy, and was a guest speaker at the CALGB meeting, Presentation of Investigational Study to Determine the Efficacy of Chemotherapy in the Treatment of Patients with Liver Metastases from Colorectal Cancer. She has written articles for Seminars in Oncology Nursing discussing the use of intra-arterial devices.

Paula is married to Joe and is the mother of three children, Peter 6, Robert 4, and Leah 2.

Tracey Ganley, MSN, RN, APN-C

Tracey earned undergraduate associate's degrees in business and nursing from Ocean County College in 1992 and 1994, respectively. After graduation, Tracey worked as a staff nurse in the oncology unit at Kimball Medical Center from 1995 to 1998. She then moved to outpatient infusion services at Kimball from 1999 to 2002. While at Kimball, Tracey received numerous patient satisfaction awards. She earned her bachelor's of science in nursing from the University of Delaware in 1999, graduating magna cum laude. Tracey continued her education and enrolled in the nurse practitioner program at The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, where she completed her master's of science degree in nursing in 2002, Sigma Theta Tau International. Prior to joining Atlantic Hematology Oncology in May 2006, Tracey worked in a private oncology hematology practice from 2002 to 2006.

Tracey received her national certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She is a member of The Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International (Theta Sigma Chapter), and the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS).

Tracey is married to Patrick and enjoys spending time with her two terriers, a West Highland named Oliver and a Yorkshire named Zoe.
